Cars,
Cars, Cars...I am sure that my better half wishes she never heard of Cars.
I started to play with cars when I was twelve years old. For my 12th
birthday, two years after my father died, my brother and mother got me a
racing go-cart. It had a Mac 91A chainsaw engine would take be down the
street at 75 MPH. When I first cam down the street I was going so fast for
my weight, that the front lifted an I had no steering. My brother put a
lead brick in the front and told me to keep it there until I gained 30
more pounds...When I was 13 I saw a shinny Model "T"
roadster-pickup in front of the Blue Chip Stamp store in Santa Rosa. It
had a gleaming black paint job and yellow flames down the side. A big
chrome engine and huge rear tires...I had to have one. I sold everything
and found a basket case 1923 roadster it came with a 392 Hemi...I sold it
after a while and I got a Model "A" coupe...I never did get a
chance to ask my mother if she planned to get me sucked into cars as a way
to keep me out of trouble or it just worked out that way...
This
is a pit stop on the way to pictures of the cars that I have had or played
with...WARNING some of these are big *.gif files use a fast link... |
